Today, 23 August, we met with Minister Marzena Czarnecka at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry in Katowice. During a very good and intensive discussion, a number of issues were raised related to the involvement of traditional Polish industries from the Silesian region in the supply chains for offshore wind projects in Poland and exports, ensuring the implementation of fair transition mechanisms, not only in terms of people, but also in terms of the size of entire companies, which have so far reserved their competences and capacities mainly for the mining industry.
We also discussed workable mechanisms for increasing the use of Poland's very rich deposits of certain raw materials, such as coking coal, by the offshore wind industry.
On the basis of a common position on the great importance of local content for the Polish economy, including nuclear investments, the next steps and directions of cooperation between the Polish Offshore Wind Indsutry Chamber and the Ministry of Industry were agreed.
